KELI, a non-profit oriented  society of Indian fellow-citizens living in Switzerland , pursues the aim of promoting the Indian culture and especially of providing support for the poor in India .

In 2008 the Indian people celebrate the 60^th independent year of their beloved nation. Beyond this we gratefully recall the fact that Switzerland is the first country, which signed a treaty of friendship with independent India . Taking this remarkable occasion for the Indian fellow-citizens in Switzerland into consideration the Indian embassy has requested us to organize several cultural events in 2008. We welcome this proposal and are specially happy to comply with the same during this 10^th jubilee year of Keli.

Along with our jubilee celebrations we want to expand our social and developmental projects of solidarity in favour of the poor. With the intention of promoting at least four projects of solidarity we organize a Pravasi Mela in Kerala, India on 1^st and 2^nd August 2009. This event of Indian arts in dance, music etc enables encounters of very talented young performers from all over the world. Well known personalities from cultural, political and social fields of our society shall grace this Pravasi Mela with their esteemed presence.
